In today’s whirlwind of headlines and sound bites, it’s hard to know what’s real anymore.
But there’s one thing you can bet on: the media isn’t too keen on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Why? It’s all about the money—specifically, the heaps of cash that major corporations pour into the pockets of politicians and the coffers of media agencies.
Here’s a brief explanation of why the media wants you to hate RFK Jr:
Powerful Corporations Donate Money to Politicians in Return for Favors
Imagine this: The owners of “Big Corporation” give a pile of money to “Politician A’s” campaign when he’s up for election. Once “Politician A” wins, he remembers who helped them get into office. When it’s time to make decisions and pass laws that affect “Big Corporation’s” industry or ability to sell their products, “Politician A” is going to think about his next campaign and whether or not he can expect more donations.
In 2010, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Citizens United, which basically declared that corporations can donate unlimited amounts of money to help advertise for politicians’ campaigns through “Super Political Action Committees” (Super PACs).
Since then, over 78% of all spending on Federal election campaigns ($2.9 billion) came from just 100 wealthy donors.
Politicians support policies that help their corporate donors
Studies have shown that there is a “robust relationship” between the issues that politicians support and the donors who funded those politicians.
These Corporations Also Sponsor the Media Networks in Return for Positive Press
Continuing: “Big Corporation” is also a major sponsor of “News Agency X”. While they don’t necessarily donate their money, they give these agencies money in return for advertising. This money keeps “News Agency X” running and pays the salaries of the reporters and news anchors.
Now imagine what would happen if a major event happened that made “Big Corporation” look bad? Would News Agency X feel that they should report on that story and make their biggest sponsor look bad in front of millions of people? Or do you think they would sweep the story under the rug and pretend it never happened? Which of these options would the reporters, who get paid a salary from “Big Corporation’s” sponsorship, choose?
News networks selectively report on issues that help or hurt their corporate sponsors
A study from the Pew Research Center shows that it is very common for news networks to discourage their journalists and reporters from publishing stories, or encourage them to report on positive ones, because of concerns about their sponsors.
This all seems obvious until you think about some of the advertisements you’ve seen recently on new outlets…
It’s more common to see sponsorships from companies like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon on TV these days. Why would companies like this want to advertise to the general public? Is it so that the next time you’re at the airplane store, you’ll choose Boeing instead of Airbus? Going back to the results found in the study from the Pew Research Center, mentioned above, the answer may become more clear.
It’s because when it comes time for the American public to question big issues, like whether or not the United States should support a war that Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Raytheon will profit off of by selling the military equipment to the American Military and NATO allies, these companies want the news agencies they sponsor to convince the American public for them. As well as avoid talking about the reasons why the US shouldn’t get involved in this war.
Rather than trying to manage their own public relations, these big corporations can simply spend money with media networks so that they can do it for them.
RFK Jr. is the Biggest Critic of Corporations Influencing Politicians
Now, enter Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a rare breed in politics. He’s not afraid to call out these corporations and their cozy relationships with politicians and the media.
He talks about how these alliances are harmful to us, the American people, and how they’re shaping a society that benefits a select few at the top.
Kennedy argues that our regulatory bodies are now under the influence of the very entities they were created to oversee.
For example, he speaks openly about how our decisions to support wars are influenced by corporations who profit from those wars. Companies like Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin, spend millions of dollars on political contributions and lobbying, politicians to support these wars, even though they will cost billions of dollars in taxpayer money that could be spent helping support Americans in need, or helping protect our environment, or securing our border.
He also speaks about how pharmaceutical companies have successfully lobbied Congress to pass laws that protect them from any harm whatsoever that their products have caused, including the death of children.
He argues that “Big Agriculture” companies influence how the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Department of Agriculture (USDA) write health recommendations to the American people that often disagree with what the current science says.
There are many more examples of how money and power from large corporations influence how our government operates to benefit the corporate interests instead of the interests of the public.
Corporations recognize that if RFK Jr. wins, they’ll lose their ability to control politicians
Because RFK Jr. is lifting the curtain on these practices, he’s become Public Enemy No.1 to those who thrive on this system.
Politicians who are in deep with corporate donors don’t want their gravy train to stop. So, they sling mud at Kennedy, hoping to discredit him and make his truths seem like lies.
These corporations pressure the media agencies they sponsor to make him look bad
The media, following their funders’ lead, often takes a similar stance. They paint RFK Jr. in a negative light, questioning his motives and the validity of his criticisms. They call him everything from a “liar” to a “conspiracy theorist” even though they are not able to prove anything he has said to be a lie.
By casting doubt on his arguments, they’re hoping you’ll focus on their narrative instead of the real issues RFK Jr. is fighting to bring to light.
This is why the Media Wants You to Hate RFK Jr.
The truth is, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a thorn in the side of the political and media establishments because he stands for what many of them have forgotten: the people.
His policies challenge the status quo and call out the manipulation and influence of corporations on our politics and media is not just brave; it’s necessary.
RFK Jr. is polling better than any third-party candidate in history. Both the Democratic and Republican parties are becoming aware that he actually has a chance of winning the race and are doing everything they can to try and stop him, including smearing his name.
If Kennedy wins the 2024 Presidential Election, they know he is going to do everything he can to take away the power and influence they have over our politicians and media. So they’re doing everything they can to convince the American public to not support his race for the White House.
This is the reason why the media wants you to hate RFK Jr so badly. Everyone will lose power and that power will be restored back to the people the way our founding fathers intended.
So don’t let the headlines fool you. RFK Jr.’s fight is about making sure our voices are heard over the sound of cash registers ringing in corporate boardrooms and political campaign offices.
It’s a battle for transparency, accountability, and a fair shake for all Americans—not just the ones with deep pockets.
He is fighting to make sure our government is protecting people like you and me, not just the wealthy.
So, next time you hear something negative about RFK Jr., ask yourself: Who benefits from this portrayal? The answer might just lead you to see the bigger picture.
